The Issue examines how the religion shows and hides itself and how it is
perceived. New Exhanges are opened about the researcher and the discourse of
its objects (actors, institutions…). Five Research Notes cover the link
between sociological explanation of human actions and morality, the anger-
catching devices known as fury rooms, the gendered representations in the
retransmission of sports competitions, the reactivation of memory of past
events by local authorities and the programming of human and social sciences
researchers in debate television programs. The section In Original Version
deals with augmented journalism. Two Focus provide an in-depth reading of a
recent work by Pierre Musso – La Religion industrielle. Monastère,
manufacture, usine – and of an older one by Raymonde Moulin – L'Artiste,
l’institution et le marché. The Book Reviews offer succinct overviews and
analyses of 40 publications.
